We are currently partnered with an international Ship Brokerage who are on the lookout for their new Claims Manager to oversee the Demurrage Claims team.
This hire will oversee a small team of Demurrage Executives ensuring the amicable settlements of demurrage claims that arise. You will need sound operational understanding and be able to handle disputes surrounding complex claims.
To apply for this role you will need around 5-6 years of demurrage/ claims experience gained in the chemicals market. Whilst this is a managerial role our client will consider experienced Demurrage Specialists that would like to transition into a managerial role.

We are currently working with an international Ship Broker who are in the process of hiring a COA Management Executive to be based in their office in Singapore.
The role will entail managing COA performance, coordinating with the operations and claims departments, , handling COA nominations and ensuring the cargo requirements of the Charterer are fully met with suitable COA vessels.
You will need to have a good grasp of COA terms and requirements and be proactive in anticipating problems that fall outside the contract parameters and identify logical solutions. This particular role will focus on the chems side of transportation so someone that has exposure to this area would be best suited.
This is a junior level position so 1-2 years of experience in chem tanker operations would be the best fit for this role.
A Ship owner with a mixed fleet is looking for a Post Fixture Operator to join their team in London.
They are looking for someone with experience in freight collection, laytime and demurrage calculations and strong knowledge of charter parties. The ideal candidate will have experience with either dry and tanker vessels and have held a similar position.
You will liaise with internal parties including chartering staff supporting them with any commercial matters.

Spinnaker is currently partnered with a growing company with a fleet of general cargo vessels operating across Europe who are looking to bring in a Vessel Operator into their team in the North East, UK.
In this role you will be responsible for time and voyage charter operations of their vessels building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, crew members, service providers etc. You will be required to take responsibility for the bunkering of vessels and assessing vessel performance.
This role would be ideal for someone that is looking to get into the commercial side of bulk shipping and would be an ideal fit for someone with 2-3 years’ shipping experience, not necessarily gained in vessel operations, and could be a good fit for someone with an agency background.

Our client is an international Operator in the bulk market with a fleet of handys-PMX. They are currently looking to hire an Chinese speaking Operations Manager for their Dubai office.
In this role you will be responsible for handling time and voyage charter operations of handys-PMX and will be the main point of contact for Chinese Masters and other counterparties.

Spinnaker have partnered with a global dry bulk owner/operator. They are looking to fill a Contract Manager role that works closely with their Chartering, Operations and Legal functions.
Predominantly this person will support chartering managers with day to day negotiations and pre fixture discussions. Providing legal and commercial input to ensure best practice is achieved and any disputes are resolved quickly and effectively.
The successful candidate will likely have a chartering background but also have a legal qualification who can apply both their legal and commercial skillsets to the role. Alternatively this person could be a Lawyer with a lot of commercial exposure who wishes to work in a different role.
The role is initially going to be based in London with the aim of relocating to Hong Kong. Candidates who wish to relocate to Hong Kong will be preferred.

We are working with an International Shipping group who are looking to hire a Commercial Executive to join their LNG team.
You will be responsible for assisting the team with on going commercial projects, supporting the senior managers and overseeing work to achieve best results.
Alongside senior colleagues, you will also be responsible for developing new business and being involved in the tendering process. You will negotiate agreements and be responsible for communicating with shareholders, joint venture partners and other stake holders.
The ideal candidate with have a vessel operations background, with a strong understanding of charterparties, cargo documentation and voyage management.
Having LNG experience is a bonus but not needed.

A fantastic opportunity has recently opened up for a Charterer or Freight Trader to be based in Singapore for a major international dry bulk owner/ operator headquartered in Europe.
Our client is looking for someone with a proven track record as a Charterer/ Freight Trader. The ideal individual for this role will ideally come from an Owner/ Operator background but are also open to those from a trading background or potentially a Broker that has strong technical knowledge of chartering and sound commercial acumen.
This role would be ideal for someone that has around 3-5 years’ experience in a chartering role within an Owner/ Operator capable fixing both vessels and cargoes for Operators/ Owners/ Charterers. The desk is fast paced and would involve handling high volumes. You would be expected to develop new cargo clients as well as optimising existing cargo clients.
This person should have strong knowledge and experience in the Handys/ Supras market.
Salary is entirely negotiable and candidates will need to have entitlement to work in Singapore already.
Spinnaker is currently partnered with an international shipowner with a diverse fleet and are looking for an experienced Operations Superintendent to join their team based out of London.
This role requires someone with a seafaring background on container/ PCTC vessels that has since come ashore into an operations role ideally handling these vessels.
In this role you will be responsible for pre and post fixture operations of their a fleet of 10+ container/ car carriers working closely with the chartering department to ensure smooth and safe operations of their vessels.
You will also assume responsibility for vessel performance assessments, Port Research, overseeing Operations Executives/ Senior Ops Executives.
