This is a new role and would suit a Claims Manager with 5-15 years marine claims experience from either inhouse or P&I club.
This person must have excellent negotiation skills to manage marine disputes from beginning to settlement, such as laytime, offhire, bunker claims or damage to vessels for time chartered fleet of vessels. This person will be the first point of contact for the operations team, ship owners and P&I club. This is a standalone role, which can be based remotely.

You will be responsible for working with external tax accountants and lawyers to develop tax mitigation and management strategies. • Competent IT user capable of working across multiple IT platforms.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Insurance department of a Greek shipping company, based out of their London office.
In this role, the successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the insurance department and will, ultimately, have day to day responsibility for handling ancillary insurance interests such as War Risk, K&R etc for the fleet of around 100 vessels.

An IG P&I Club is looking to recruit a Senior Claims Executive in to their busy London office.
This role will involve working on a mix of P&I and Defence claims, including those of a high value.
To be considered for this position, you must be a UK qualified Solicitor or have a proven record of handling complex FD&D and P&I claims for a minimum of five years. You must also be able to demonstrate that you are both a team player and also someone who can work with a high degree of independence.
This is a role that will also involve being present at board meetings as required and will require the successful individual to participate in, and contribute to, internal training events, claims forum meetings, publications etc.

We are currently working with one of the leading international owner/ operators in the dry bulk market who are currently looking to hire a Claims Manager to work closely with their Operations department in Singapore.
In this role you will be responsible for solving day to day problems that occur whilst operating ships giving in-house guidance on a wide variety of operational problems before, during and after a voyage as well as any voyage related commercial/ FD&D claims matters such as hire payments/ deductions/ off-hire disputes, hold failure issues and performance claims.
You will require a thorough understanding of charterparty clauses both on a practical level as week as from a legal standpoint to assist the operations department. You will need to be a strong decision maker and able to assess the company’s position in various given situations regarding it’s claims exposure and what the best course of action would therefore be.
You will be working closely with and advising various departments including operations, chartering, period support, marine accounting, so the reach of this role will be broad.
To apply for this role you should have around 3-5 years’ operations and/or claims experience, a legal degree is not required although strong legal knowledge would be an advantage. Strong problem solving skills and the ability to think analytically and see the bigger picture will be greatly desirable.

Marine Insurance broker seeks Claims Executive in Sharjah, UAE (35km from Dubai).
The role involves managing P&I, general average and H&M claims from beginning to end. A key part of the role is to keep in constant communication with your ship owners and insurers, meeting in person to build relationships and progress the claim through to completion.
