Contracts Manager
An offshore support services company based in Monaco is looking for a Contracts Manager to be point of contact with their clients and to ensure that all contracts are running as required. You would be working with the Commercial Manager to ensure all clients have the best level of service from the company and examining details of contracts for clients for any disputed issues. Vessel Operator- UK

Spinnaker is currently partnered with a UK based company providing independent ship planning and marine operations services to container vessel owners, charterers and operators. Our client provides a crucial service to the container market whether this is a bespoke service tailored towards specific needs or full operational oversight. Due to growth of their existing business they are currently looking to bring in an experienced Container Vessel Operator/ Planner to their UK team

Our client is also unique in their approach in the sense that their entire team works remotely and has done for many years so this role would be ideal for someone that would like to work from home but also be part of a very tightly knit team that have been together for several years.

The responsibilities of the role will include:
• Responsible for Central Stowage Planning of vessel’s stability and safety.
• Ensure break bulk acceptance, slot control, supervision and terminal performance.
• Scheduling and controlling vessel operations.
• Controlling operational slots and order and coordinate bunkers.
• Close co-ordination with Client – commercial bookings, Vessels and Terminals, in all vessel operational related matters.
• Prepare RDR / SITREP reports (as required by client) provide conducive stowage,
• 4-eye check to onboard DG segregation.
• Secondary Tasks not limited to vessel operations or reporting
• Additional tasks whenever required.

To apply for this role you will need to have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Ship Planner/ Operator with good awareness of stowage coordination and container vessel optimisation. An understanding of the IMDG code and onboard DG segregation will also be required. As this is a remote working role it will also require the ability to work as part of a remote team and stay motivated.

Commercial Operator (Tanker/Bulk)- London

We are currently working with a growing ship owner/ operator with a fleet of circa 75 ships that have a combination of both tankers and bulkers. Our client is currently looking to expand their operations team with the hire of a Commercial Operator to take responsibility for operating circa 8-10 vessels at any one time.

This presents a unique opportunity to be commercially responsible for both bulk and tanker assets. They have a very diverse fleet with MRs, Afras, LPG carriers, bulk carriers and unlike competitors they encourage their Operators to handle a mix of vessel types so for an experienced Operator that is looking to diversify the assets they are responsible for this would be a great opportunity.

This role would be ideally suited to Operators that are able to handle circa 8-10 vessels independently so this will likely be Operators with 3+ years of experience gained in either bulk or tanker operations.

Post Fixture Manager- London

Spinnaker Global is on the search for a Post-Fixtures Manager with at least 5 years’ experience working with chemical and product tankers.

This role will be joining our client, UK based owner-operator, in their London office.

You will develop and improve systems for monitoring and registering claims, claims recovery and reduce the number of days outstanding on claims generally.

You will need to possess excellent communication skills to liaise with other departments, and be organised and competent at documenting and calculating all claims relating to demurrage, off hire and insurance.

Senior Operations Manager (Drybulk)- Singapore

We are currently working with one of the largest international bulk commodity traders who are in the process of hiring a Senior Operations Manager to lead a team of 5 Vessel Operators in Singapore.

This role would be ideal for someone with vast bulk vessel operations experience that has made the transition to a supervisory or full management function where the role will be split between providing guidance for more junior Operators, assisting with Operator development but occasionally picking up some vessels and hands on operating when required.

Operations Manager (PCTC Vessels)- London

We are currently working with a leading commercial manager of 180 vessels and they are keen to bring in a talented PCTC Operations Manager into their London based team. This is a great opportunity for someone with vast experience within the car carrier market to join a growing and highly commercially minded outfit.

This role would be ideally suited to someone that has sailed to Chief Officer or Master onboard Car Carriers with ideally good shorebased experience in a commercial operations role as well.

Safety is paramount for our client so someone that can ensure that voyages are conducted with the crew safety at the forefront of their thinking will be essential. This would suit someone with a seafaring background as ther will be a lot of interaction with the crew and the Master so someone that understands the issues the ship might be facing and can commercially work around solutions would be ideal for this role.

You will have circa 8 PCTC vessels that you would have responsibility for and will suit someone that is a good multi tasker and is able to come up with solutions and have one eye on the costs that can be saved through good planning and innovative solutions.

Operations Manager (Bulk)- London

We are currently working with an international ship owner that is looking to bring in a Senior Operations Manager with vast bulk experience into their London office.

Operations Manager (Containers)- London

Our client is an internationally recognised shipowner with a diverse fleet of bulkers, tankers and containerships. They are currently looking to add an experienced Operations Manager to their team that specialises is in operating container vessels

Senior Vessel Operator- Athens

Key responsibilities for this role are as follows:

· Responsible for ensuring the vessel’s voyage is performed efficiently and ensuring costs are kept to a minimum.

· Calculating and preparing hire statements

· Arrange and manage any advance payments from charterers and final settlements when the voyage is complete.

· In charge of a vessel or fleet of vessels and involved with tasks such as post fixture, bunker intakes and agency appointments.

Dry Bulk Vessel Operator, Singapore

One of the world leaders in the dry bulk market is currently looking for an experienced operations professional to join their department in Singapore.
This role would suit a person with dry bulk operations experience (capesize or panamax vessels experience preferred but not essential).
The ideal candidate will come from an established dry bulk company and will be able to demonstrate a track record of success over at least two years.
The role will have a focus on smooth operating of the companies owned and operated vessels by performing hire/bunker/port payments, provide master/agents with instructions, invoice customers, carry out laytime calculations, keep track on vessel positions, deal with issues arising during the voyage, arrange stow plans etc.

Vessel Operator- Singapore

We are currently partnered with a European Owner/ Operator who are looking to bring an experienced Operator into their team based in Singapore.

This opportunity would ideally suit Bulk Vessel Operator with around 5 years’ experience preferably gained within an Owner/ Operator environment.

Our client’s fleet predominantly consists of Handys- Supramax so applicants with experience with these vessel types would be best suited to the role.

Our client is a global Operator in the Bulk market with several offices internationally. This particular vacancy is within their Copenhagen office and they are looking for an Operations Manager to manage a small team.

You will be perform the duties of a Senior Vessel Operator in the Copenhagen office reporting into the Global Head of Operations and handling time and voyage charter operations across Handy-PMX. It will be essential that you have solid experience in bulk vessel operations ideally gained in an owner/ operator environment across vessel sizes.
