Reporting to the Maritime Coordinator, your task will be to develop and advance union power for Dockers and port workers. A position that is global in its strategy and reach, where you will be developing and implement strategic work programmes, representing 350,000 port workers worldwide. Managing a small team, coordinating with representatives globally, you will build and implement as well as actively campaigning for dockers, working alongside affiliated unions to build a presence on the world stage. You will bring with you your ability to build relationships and influence others with tact and diplomacy. The Dockers Section Coordinator needs to understand the political situations and therefore be very politically astute. Experience within maritime, and within a trade Union is essential for this position. Individuals with a very good understanding and demonstrable passion for working within a Trade Unions can also be considered. Management experience, division of, and execution and implementation of strategy across multiple regions is essential to succeed in this position.
