Spinnaker is partnered with one of the world’s largest mining groups and are assisting in the hire of a Chartering and Optimisation & Trade Support Manager to be based in their shipping department based in Singapore on a 6-12 month contract.
This role will play a key support function across the trading activities working closely with the chartering and scheduling departments overseeing key value add initiatives. You will also be tasked with generating further performance metrics to monitor service delivery and key success factors.
The ideal fit for this role would be someone that has some marine experience with some commercial experience that is process orientated and able to spot ways in which supply chain can be enhanced.

Seeking an experienced Credit Risk Analyst with a bunker/commodity background or experience in Middle Eastern / Indian markets.
Based in Singapore, this position will see you provide a portfolio of clients with targeted research and counterparty risk assessment services. You will focus on researching, analysing and preparing profile reports.
A successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, and the ability to research, assimilate, interpret and analyse detailed information, and present it in clear, concisely-written English.
With a good financial mindset and be proactive and assertive you will be business-focused with a strong commercial understanding.
Fluency in other South Asian regional languages, Russian or Arabic would see you at an advantage.

Our client is a highly respected shipowner and asset manager headquartered in Hong Kong and is currently in the process of hiring a Senior Chartering Manager to take full responsibility for their Supramax/ Ultramax Chartering business.
This is a great opportunity to work with a highly prestigious market name that has been transitioning from traditional owner into to an Owner/ Operator business model in recent years. As Senior Chartering Manager you will have responsibility for growth in the Supramax market handling both short and long term tonnage and cargo requirements.
Good cargo contacts will be a big advantage to achieve the growth of the Supramax business, and the role will be ideally suited to someone that is used to working in an ‘Operating’ environment looking for arbitrage opportunities.
Knowledge of FFAs and similar hedging tools would also be useful for this role. The role itself will be reporting into the Managing Director who oversees the commercial team.
