On the subject of politicians, whether politicians and shipping are oil and water will be the topic for debate at the next Cadwallader lecture to take place at Lloyd's of London on October 6.
Up for debate will be whether government officials have an understanding of how our industry works or not, so there will be no shortage of intervention from the floor. Cadwallader events are always strongly attended and in the chair will be former Master of the Rolls Lord Clarke, who has handled his fair share of shipping disputes over the years.
The event, as ever, is organised by the London Shipping Law Centre
