WHAT is the collective noun for purchasers? A budget of purchasers? A discount of purchasers?
Whatever it is, a whole load of them will be ganging up on a ‘desperation of suppliers’ on September 16/17 in London’s Kensington Town Hall at the annual IMPA Exhibition & Conference ‘the premier event for marine purchasing and supply professionals.’
One of the most “keenly anticipated dates” in the marine purchaser’s diary (no, seriously!) this two day event attracts some of the world’s leading ship owners, managers and suppliers to take part in a busy schedule of informal networking, debate and conference sessions.
Spinnaker are providing a careers advice service at the exhibition. Representatives will be hiding away in a darkened room ready to answer employers’ and jobseekers’ queries on salaries, recruiting staff, HR best practices, CV and interview advice. Come along and see us. We promise not to give you any cheap pens, mouse mats, post-it notes or Spinnaker mugs. We might just tell you something useful though.
This year’s exhibition covers 3 halls all fully sold-out to hundreds of terrified suppliers preparing to be mugged by the folk from the purchasing department. As IMPA says: ‘Prepare yourself for the most thought-provoking and challenging IMPA conference ever staged.’
