We can't quite believe that it's December already. It has been quite the year for the shipping industry. We get the feeling here at Spinnaker that the wider world might just be cottoning on to the fact that shipping exists. About time!
The release of Danish thriller A Hijacking, and Tom Hanks' blockbuster Captain Phillips drawing attention to piracy and shipping, along with Rose George's successful snapshot of the industry in her book Deep Sea and Foreign Going, show us that word is getting out there about our world. Long may it continue.
It's also been a pretty big year for Spinnaker. We have grown so much that we moved offices and are now settled in lovely new (much bigger) digs, which is very exciting for us.
Of course, we always want to thank our clients, candidates, and everyone working with us for making 2013 a stellar year for the company. And it's not over yet: may your December be jolly great in every way.
