THE recruitment market both in shipping and outside recorded strong rates of growth in Quarter 4 2009. At Spinnaker we enjoyed our fourth best ever quarter, a wonderful way to end a very strange year, of course thanks to our clients and candidates without whom we’d be a call centre!
And the Recruitment & Employment Confederation and KPMG in their latest ‘Report on Jobs’ reported both permanent and temporary recruitment showing stronger rates of growth in December, the fifth consecutive month of increased recruitment activity with permanent placements accelerating to their sharpest levels since July 2007.
Recruiters also reported an increase in vacancy levels in the month and average salaries for permanent jobs rose for a second consecutive month.
