On this day, shipbrokers and the chartering community will be buying and selling space on the M/V OSCAR and insurance brokers and underwriters will be taking lines on slips to insure the M/V OSCAR. And the law firms will be ‘giving legal advice’ to the owners of the OSCAR.
The OSCAR Campaign (The Ocean and Shipping Community Advancing Children’s Health and Research) has raised an impressive £340,000 over the course of the last year to help Great Ormond Street Hospital build desperately needed new clinical investigations facilities. A new seas-and-oceans themed unit will help children with serious heart and lung conditions who visit the hospital frequently for specialist tests and monitoring. We urgently need to raise a further £160,000 by the time new facility opens later this year.
