The cigarettes – tobacco free yet producing a steam vapour to create the sensation of smoking – are becoming increasingly popular for those who are trying to quit smoking.
They look pretty realistic, and due to the vapour released on exhaling, could be mistaken for a real cigarette at first glance. It's no surprise then that many HR managers are banning them just the same as real cigarettes.
You can imagine the scenario: you have a client coming to visit, or a new recruit is being shown round the office, and one of your colleagues is puffing on an e-cigarette. It's not quite the image you want to convey!
