THE Cadwallader Lecture is back this year, in its usual November slot but with a change in format.
The proceedings will begin with a champagne reception in the Garden Room of the Gibson Hall on London’s Bishopsgate, followed by discussion and dinner in the Main Hall. The topic? From Titanic to Concordia: The Achilles Heel of Passenger Ships.
Dr. Stephen Payne OBE, Past President of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects, and Rear Admiral John Lang DL, former UK Chief Inspector at the Marine Accidents Investigation Board will discuss the lessons to be learned on passengership safety and the developments and problems which need to be tackled.
Lord Clarke of Stone-cum-Ebony, the Centre’s Vice President, will chair the session and invite questions from guests.
