There is a new online hub for promoting the shipping industry – from seagoing careers and shore-based opportunities – to young people new to maritime.
The Go-maritime portal is a great way of showing young people what it's like to work in the shipping industry and comes from the people who brought you the KNOWME project last year which we featured in Changing Course.
The website showcases the abundance of career opportunities in maritime, and also features a questionnaire on the website and how useful it is for pupils from upper secondary school, students and young professionals. The aim is to promote a modern image of shipping and intensify awareness of shipping activities.
