Looking for a new place to set up an office? International law firms are moving into Africa, we gather, in response to rising Chinese investment in the continent. All this investment is good news for African countries and the Asia to Africa trade route has now overtaken Europe as Africa’s main trade partner.
While this may not be good news for Europe, it certainly cheers those container operators trading in this market, with routes to and from Africa growing faster than elsewhere.
One thing is certain, if the recent spate of orders for new containerships is anything to go by, operators are bullish about prospects for the Asia trades.
