Karen Waltham, Director of our HR Consulting business (pictured right) attended the Brentwood School Careers Convention 2015, and joined a vast collection of organisations, universities, professional bodies and commercial enterprises who made themselves available to help students make informed decisions about further education.
Representatives were on-hand to offer personal advice and give out materials regarding their industry, along with short presentations to groups of parents and students wanting to find out more. The attendees ranged from year 10 to year 13 pupils who had questions regarding their university and career directions, or needed advice on their next step after finishing school.
Students were also considering options for work experience this summer, using the opportunity to find an opening in a professional business that interested them. As the only company representing both the maritime industry and also the HR profession, the level of interest was terrific and inspired students and interested parents alike!
