As mentioned, our chairman Phil Parry visited Sweden to the Swedish Club AGM, which was not only highly educational in terms of cost drivers in large shipping casualties, but to all intents and purposes a jolly good knees up.
The AGM featured the Club's MD Lars Rhodin, Stephen Tierney, MD, TMC Marine Consultants Ltd, and Andrew Bardot, Secretary and Executive Officer, International Group along with keynote speaker Manuel Knight, a trained psychologist and much sought-after speaker.
Phil reported back that the event was inspirational, informative, and one that literally had delegates dancing in the aisles of the conference… of their own accord. Pretty impressive stuff… and well done once again to the Swedish Club for an event that ran like clockwork. If you handle casualties like that, shipping is in good hands!
