The OSCAR (Ocean and Shipping Community Advancing Children's Health and Research) campaign, the innovative fundraising partnership uniting the international shipping community to raise significant funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital is going great guns.
The campaign has now raised over £750,000 (!) and is smashing its way towards £1 million.
The first target of £500,000 was raised with the amazingly generous support of the shipping community, and went towards creating the Sea and Oceans floor at Great Ormond Street.
The campaign aims to reach that next golden target of £1 million in order to support pioneering research that will provide better treatments for the most serious childhood illnesses. And you really can't put a price on that.
