Spinnaker Global has been awarded a 'Best Responsive Website' gong at the Essex Digital Awards, where hundreds of Essex's businesses gathered to celebrate the very best in digital campaigns.
We knew we were finalists for the Awards, but were delighted when it was announced on the night that we had won Gold for the Responsive Website category.
Since we relaunched in November 2014 as Spinnaker Global, our website has been specially developed to recognise which device the user is on, and adjust accordingly. No separate 'mobile site' as in the past, but clever coding to adapt to mobiles, tablets and other devices.
This is becoming increasingly important to us as the figures show that users of our website are using mobile devices more and more; in fact, we have seen a 30% increase on last year's numbers.
Our Marketing Executive Rachel Morgan, who led the rebrand project, attended the glitzy awards along with our chief Web Designer Dan Bacon, who was responsible for making our responsive vision a reality.
Now we've just got to figure out where to hang the award…
