The OSCAR campaign is now over halfway to meeting its second phase target of £1 million. This is an incredible achievement, and a testament to the fact that shipping isn’t all bad…
This amazing sum was raised during one heck of a shipping downturn, or perhaps it was more of a rollercoaster? Great Ormond Street is now counting down the remaining £450,000 and there are lots of ways you can help children like twins Remi and Wojciech, pictured right: http://blog.gosh.org/patientsandparents/two-of-a-kind
The OSCAR Campaign, founded by Spinnaker’s chairman Phil Parry after his son received life-saving care at GOSH, has received a fantastic pledge of £50,000 over two years from Swire via the company’s charitable trust. They also received £40,000 from Uniserve (Holdings) Ltd, which brings their support of the campaign over the past three years to an incredible £120,000.
The team behind the campaign want to say a huge thank you to all those who generously give their time and money to help the campaign.
Remi and Wojciech both had bone marrow transplants after being diagnosed with a life-threatening disorder that affects the immune system. Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity really needs your continued support to reach their target and to help more children with very serious illnesses across the globe.
