INCREASE IN SHIPBROKERS

Shipbroking recruitment is busy! We've noticed a definite increase in broking vacancies despite the state of the market and despite freight rates.

Some of our clients are definitely preparing for the much hoped-for upswing and in fact have been doing so for some time. It's the broking equivalent of buying cheap tonnage according to some senior brokers, although in practice talented individuals are not being tempted away for discounts.

Nevertheless – and we understand this at Spinnaker as it's precisely what we've been doing – the reasoning in many organisations is that if you wait until the recovery happens to start recruiting, you're too late.

Spinnaker's Commercial division is extremely busy with shipbroking vacancies globally in tankers, dry cargo, and sale & purchase; particularly senior roles.

We are actively looking for director-level brokers in dry cargo and S&P in particular, says Eric Branson, Manager of the Division. We are handling some great opportunities for talented brokers who are either already managing desks or who have what it takes to run a business.

Contact Eric Branson in confidence to discuss – [email protected] / +44 (0)1702 480142.
