IMEC is looking for a Membership Liaison and Agreeement Officer who will have one on one responsibility for engaging with IMEC members over specific issues and concerns.

IMEC negotiates wage scales on behalf of many of the world's shipowners with seafarers unions globally and this new role is intended to enable IMEC members to have an honest and open dialogue with their Secretariat and to be involved in the current affairs and future planning of the organisation.

This is a unique role that demands someone with a very special blend of skills and knowledge hence its inclusion in Changing Course this month. Do you know about IBF bargaining and negotiations? Have an in-depth understanding of the IBF Collective Bargaining Agreements? Can you travel widely and handle complex negotiations without feeling intimidated by exposure to senior executives? Can you develop good working relationships with union representatives without conflict or compromising your members' interests? And can you write clear and concise reports and speak confidently in public?

For the right person, this is a fabulous and interesting job. If it's you or you think you know who it is, please drop a line to Jessica Spurgeon at [email protected] or call her on +44 1702 481630.

Job has been added to your shortlist.
