Our good friend Peter Townsend is, this May, going to cycle a gruelling distance of 1,200 miles from London to Portsmouth, then to Bilbao before cycling home to Leadenhall market in London – all in just 12 days.
Aside from being obviously in awe of the man, it's also something close to our hearts here at Spinnaker as he is raising money for the OSCAR campaign.
OSCAR is the Ocean and Shipping Community Advancing Children’s Health and Research campaign, which aims to raise significant funds to help children with cancer, leukaemia and other immune diseases through the work of Great Ormond Street Hospital – and of course, is named after Spinnaker Chairman Phil Parry's son, who received life-saving care at Great Ormond Street.
We think Peter has taken on a marvellous challenge, and we wish him all the best in raising his £20,000 target. To donate to Peter's brilliant fundraising efforts, visit http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/BilbaoBaggins
