It's Woolly Hat Week again! Every year in the first week of February Sailors' Society urge you to don your woolly hats and make a donation to seafarers’ welfare.
Sailors' Society distributes around 20,000 woolly hats every year to seafarers crossing cold oceans. Our dedicated army of knitters set their needles clacking all year round to make sure we have enough woollens to keep seafarers warm.
We know not everyone can get knitting, so instead we ask you to do something very simple to support seafarers:
1) Pick a day between 3-9th February to wear a hat to work and make a donation to Sailors' Society.
2) Tell EVERYONE what you're doing and why you're supporting us – the more you spread the word, the more support your day will get.
3) Have a fun-filled day and take lots of pictures of everyone in their hats – don’t forget to share your photos with us via social media!
4) Make your donation – there are several ways to do this. Contact us to find the best way for you.
In 2014 the campaign has gone online as well. Follow Woolly Hat Week on Facebook, to catch up with all the events happening up and down the country to raise funds and awareness for Sailors' Society. Or, if you're more of a Twitter fan, download your free Twibbon to show your support twibbon.com/support/wooly-hat-week and follow @SailorsSociety for regular updates.
