Spinnaker and the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers recently joined forces to promote the value of training and informed careers advice and we are delighted to say that ICS director Alan Phillips will be adding his might to Changing Course in the coming months. This month he reminds us of the quite staggering numbers of candidates who take the ICS exams each year.
"Despite the volcanic ash cloud very few candidates were unable to get to one of the over 80 examination centres worldwide to tackle over 4000 papers in subjects ranging from Shipping Business and Dry Cargo Chartering to Legal Principles and Marine Insurance. No more to do now than wait for the results to be published on www.ics.org.uk in early August!! Fingers crossed for success. For those who complete PQE this year I look forward to welcoming you as members of ICS (MICS)."
