In 1997 Spinnaker’s founders Phil Parry and Steve Cox envisioned a recruitment agency that would encompass both tenacity and integrity, tapping into shipping, where there was a gap in the market for a niche recruiter. As a Qualified Maritime Solicitor and a Barrister respectively, they began to build a successful reputation in the legal and insurance market. Spinnaker’s first placements reflect this, and while we have grown to diversify into other areas such as technical marine recruitment, sales and marketing and renewables, legal and insurance is still very much a big part of what we do.
Over the last 19 years we have successfully placed a large number of candidates in the maritime industry across Private Practice, P&I, insurance and in-house roles in Europe, the Far East, the Middle East, North & South America and Africa. Spinnaker really is global!
