The world's largest maritime HR conference, offering networking opportunities with industry leaders and expert-led sessions on current maritime HR challenges. A vital gathering for global shipping HR professionals.
Building on the success of last year’s ‘Best HR Initiative Award’, we’re thrilled to expand our HR Awards programme, recognising excellence and innovation in maritime people management and workplace culture.
Winners of the 2025 awards will be announced at the Maritime People & Culture Conference in London on 14-15 May, attended by over 150 HR and crewing professionals from leading global shipping companies.
In 2024, BSM won for their Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives, with special recognition for Navigator Gas’s ‘Coffee Roulette’ networking, Pacific Basin’s enhanced maternity leave, and Teekay’s ‘50 Years, 50 Stories’ campaign.
This year, we are proud to introduce five new award categories, each highlighting excellence in different aspects of HR practice:
Join us as we honour the leaders and innovators shaping the future of HR in the maritime industry.
Recognising initiatives that foster talent growth and professional development, such as leadership training programmes, graduate schemes, mentorship, and coaching initiatives.
Honouring initiatives that prioritise employees' physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. This may include mental health support programmes, fitness initiatives, work-life balance policies, and flexible working arrangements.
Highlighting creative applications of technology to enhance workforce management and operations. Examples include the adoption of AI tools, the digitalisation of training programmes, and the implementation of innovative HR platforms.
Recognising exceptional programmes that empower and connect teams. These could showcase strong company culture, employee recognition schemes, and effective communication channels.
Celebrating individuals who exemplify leadership, advocacy, and excellence in HR. Nominations are welcomed for individuals outside the HR department who play a pivotal role in developing and executing HR strategies, implementing HR technology, or championing employee wellbeing and diversity.
