Associate Solicitor – London

We are working with a leading global law firm that is continuing to grow its Marine Insurance practice in London, and is now looking to appoint an Associate or Senior Associate (2+ years’ PQE). The team is also open to considering Barristers with relevant marine insurance experience.

The practice handles complex, high-value marine insurance disputes, acting for a broad international client base including insurers, P&I Clubs, shipowners, charterers, and commodity traders.

The Role

• Advising on a wide range of marine insurance disputes, including coverage and liability matters
• Handling claims across hull & machinery, cargo, war risks, and FD&D
• Working on both wet and dry shipping matters, including salvage, collision, general average, and charterparty disputes
• Managing litigation and arbitration, including recovery actions
• Supporting business development and client relationship activities

Candidate Profile

• 2+ years’ PQE with marine insurance disputes experience
• Open to both Solicitors and Barristers with relevant expertise
• Strong understanding of litigation and arbitration processes (including LMAA)
• Commercially minded with a keen interest in developing within a growing practice
