Our client is seeking a UK-qualified Solicitor to join their team in Piraeus. This opportunity offers a supportive and relaxed working environment with a modest annual billable target of approximately 1,000 hours, enabling a strong work–life balance.

The successful candidate will advise on a range of dry shipping disputes, including matters relating to charterparties, bills of lading, demurrage claims, cargo issues, sanctions, and war risks. While the majority of the work will focus on dry shipping, there will also be opportunities to gain exposure to wet shipping matters, such as salvage and collision cases, for candidates seeking a broader and more varied practice.
This position would suit a UK-qualified Solicitor with 5–10 years’ PQE, gained at a law firm, P&I Club, or shipowner. The role offers genuine opportunities for career progression for ambitious candidates, including the potential for share options.

Requirements

  • UK-qualified Solicitor
  • 5–10 years’ post-qualification experience in UK shipping law
  • Experience gained in private practice, a P&I Club, or with a shipowner
  • EU passport required (sponsorship is not available)

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary
  • Generous bonus structure
  • Flexible hybrid working
  • Clear progression opportunities, including potential share options
