Technical Surveyor – APAC
Location: Singapore
 
We are currently supporting a growing maritime solutions provider with the hire of a Technical Surveyor to join their APAC team.
 
This is a hands-on, client-facing role, working closely with the Commercial Manager and acting as the technical expert within the sales process. The position offers a strong blend of technical delivery and commercial involvement, supporting clients both pre- and post-sale.
 
The Role
 
You will play a key role in supporting technical activities across the region, including vessel attendance, advising customers on solutions, and monitoring product performance in service.
 
This role will suit someone who enjoys combining practical vessel knowledge with customer interaction and commercial exposure.
 
Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting vessel visits and providing on-site technical support
• Acting as a technical advisor to customers, particularly ahead of and during the sales process
• Supporting commercial discussions with practical, solution-based input
• Monitoring and reporting on product performance in operation
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience within the maritime industry
• Strong technical/mechanical background (Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or similar)
• Solid engine knowledge and/or operational experience
• Previous seagoing experience is highly advantageous
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to contribute to sales activity
• Confident in a client-facing role with strong communication skills
• Able to work independently and manage workload effectively

Desirable:

• Knowledge of marine fuels or fuel-related solutions
