Digital Technology Director – London

We are partnering with a leading global shipping business to appoint a Digital Technology Director.

This is a senior leadership role focused on business-led technology transformation across systems, data, delivery, and operational platforms. The position sits at the intersection of technology and business strategy, with significant exposure to executive leadership and long-term organisational direction.

You will act as a key technology voice to the executive team, helping shape technology direction, prioritisation, and delivery across a complex operational environment.

The business has undergone significant transformation in recent years and is now entering a critical next phase, with ongoing systems integration, operational modernisation, and increasing focus on data, governance, and delivery maturity.

The Role

• Lead the technology function across systems, projects, data, and business platforms
• Manage senior leadership across architecture, delivery, and data functions
• Drive transformation initiatives, including systems integration and legacy modernisation
• Bring structure, prioritisation, and governance to a complex evolving technology landscape
• Support the development of a stable long-term technology organisation
• Engage directly with executive leadership, translating technology into clear business outcomes and strategic direction

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience leading broad technology or digital functions within complex operational organisations
• Strong track record of transformation, delivery, and organisational change
• Confident operating at executive level with clear, concise communication
• Background in shipping, maritime, logistics, aviation, industrial, or other asset-intensive environments preferred
• Comfortable working in-office up to 5 days per week
