This is a hands-on role, as all claims are managed in-house. The organisation is seeking an individual who can oversee claims from inception through to resolution, negotiate effectively with external stakeholders, and conduct thorough investigations via interviewing superintendents and crew members.
The role also requires maintaining clear and timely communication with suppliers whilst developing strong working relationships. Strong stakeholder management skills are essential, including collaborating with internal operations teams and liaising closely with technical teams to coordinate efforts, achieve optimal outcomes, and ensure claims are settled effectively.
The legal function operates collaboratively within a centralised departmental structure, requiring a team-oriented approach and the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver successful results.
Greek language skills are not essential as all business is carried out in English.This role would suit a UK-qualified solicitor or commonwealth lawyer with 3-7 PQE.
