We are partnering with a highly respected international maritime organisation to appoint a Lead Enterprise Solution Architect to join its growing technology function in London.
 
This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future technology landscape of a complex, global business undergoing significant technology and business transformation.
 
Working closely with senior technology and business stakeholders, you will be responsible for designing and governing enterprise-wide technology solutions that support strategic business objectives, improve operational efficiency, and drive long-term value across the organisation.
 
The role sits at the intersection of business and technology, requiring someone who can understand commercial objectives, challenge existing processes, and translate business requirements into scalable, future-ready technology solutions.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture activities across a diverse portfolio of enterprise systems and business applications
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and design technology solutions aligned to strategic objectives
• Drive application landscape simplification, standardisation, and rationalisation initiatives
• Provide architectural governance and oversight across technology projects and programmes
• Support software selection, vendor evaluation, and technology investment decisions
• Promote best practice across cloud, integration, API, and enterprise architecture disciplines
• Assess emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve business performance and operational effectiveness
• Act as a trusted advisor to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

 
What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience within Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Applications Architecture, or a similar role
• Strong understanding of enterprise applications, integrations, APIs, cloud platforms, and modern technology landscapes
• Experience working within complex, multi-system environments
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to senior business stakeholders
• Strong commercial awareness and experience aligning technology decisions to business outcomes
• Experience contributing to digital transformation, technology modernisation, or application portfolio management initiatives
• Exposure to vendor selection, procurement, and technology governance processes

 
Industry experience within shipping, logistics, transportation, energy, aviation, utilities, or other asset-intensive industries would be advantageous, although not essential.
