In-House Counsel (Tech) – London

Spinnaker is recruiting a Commercial Technology Lawyer on behalf of an established global technology business within a major international maritime services group.
 
This is an opportunity for a mid-level solicitor with 3-5 years’ post-qualification experience to join the group in-house legal team. Shipping law experience is not required.
 
The Role
You will advise on a broad range of commercial legal matters, including:

• Incoming and outgoing software licensing agreements.
• Commercial contracts.
• Data protection and GDPR.
• AI policies and procedures.
• Compliance matters, including AML, sanctions and codes of conduct.
• Supporting M&A transactions.
• Joint venture structures for technology platforms.

About You
You will be a qualified solicitor with 3-5 years’ PQE and experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Commercial technology.
• Software licensing.
• Commercial contracts.
• Data protection and privacy.
• Technology transactions.

You may currently be working in private practice or in-house.
 
This is a broad commercial technology role offering exposure to a varied range of legal work within an established international business.
