Spinnaker is conducting an exclusive search on behalf of a global maritime software and technology business looking to appoint 3 x Application Support Specialists.

These are hands-on Level 2 technical support roles, supporting business-critical software across customer environments. You will take ownership of technical issues, installations, upgrades and troubleshooting, working directly with customers and alongside Development teams on more complex problems.
All three positions require a strong general IT / Application Support background, with each having a slightly different specialism:

• Linux / IT: Linux and LAMP environments, networking, hardware, application installations and upgrades, supporting technology deployed across customer and vessel environments.
• IT / Applications: Application installations, upgrades and maintenance across Windows, web and desktop applications, databases and remote customer environments.
• Oracle / SQL: More database-focused, covering Oracle, SQL, data migrations, data manipulation, database changes and customer-specific views/extracts.

Across all three, we’re looking for:

• Strong application, software or technical support experience
• Good general IT knowledge across systems, applications and networking
• Troubleshooting and incident resolution experience
• Confidence taking ownership of technical issues independently
• Strong customer communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience working alongside Development/Engineering teams
• A detail-oriented and curious approach
• An interest in automation and improving repetitive processes

Previous maritime experience would be advantageous but is not essential. More important is a strong technical foundation, an ability to work under pressure and a mindset focused on solving problems rather than simply escalating them.
