Compliance Manager – Hong Kong

We are recruiting for a Compliance Manager on behalf of an established marine insurance organisation in Hong Kong.
 
The successful candidate will have prior compliance experience within an insurance company, ideally with a general insurance background, or experience delivering insurance-sector compliance work within a consulting environment. This is an operational, execution-focused position, rather than a management-level appointment.
The organisation is also looking for someone with a stable and consistent career history, with a preference for candidates who have demonstrated longer-term commitment to previous employers.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Establish, update and maintain the company-wide compliance management framework and conduct regular compliance risk assessments.
• Act as a key liaison with regulatory authorities regarding inspections, enquiries and statutory filings.
• Review contracts, business documents, marketing materials and internal policies for potential compliance risks.
• Coordinate compliance training, remediation tracking, AML and data privacy implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above.
• Professional qualifications in Accounting, Audit, Business or Law are highly desirable, such as CPA, PCLL or CIA.
• Substantial compliance experience within the Hong Kong insurance, reinsurance or mutual assurance sector.
• Strong cross-functional coordination, regulatory communication and written drafting skills.
