Spinnaker is supporting a global ship management company with the appointment of an Information Technology Business Analyst to join its growing technology and digital transformation function in Athens.
 
Reporting to the Digital Transformation Officer, you’ll sit between technology and the wider business, helping understand operational challenges, improve processes and translate business needs into structured technology solutions.
 
The Role:

• Gather and translate business requirements into clear technical and functional requirements
• Map existing processes and design improved workflows
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
• Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams and external technology providers
• Support the implementation and configuration of business applications
• Coordinate testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Produce requirements documentation, process maps, test plans and user guidance
• Support the continued development of structured Business Analysis practices

 
What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years’ experience in IT Business Analysis or a related discipline
• Strong requirements gathering and process design/mapping experience
• Understanding of Agile and/or Waterfall delivery
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills
• A good technical foundation and ability to bridge business and IT
• Fluent English

 
Experience within shipping or maritime would be beneficial but isn’t essential. Strong Business Analysis fundamentals, technical understanding and the ability to learn a complex industry are more important.
Experience with ERP/business applications, low-code platforms, UAT, project management tools or recognised BA/project certifications would also be advantageous.
