We are working with an established ship management company seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to join its Technical Department in Monaco. The company manages 80 – 100 dry bulk vessels and provides technical, operational and commercial services to its clients.
This role would suit a marine engineer with strong leadership and budgeting skills who enjoys working closely with both vessels and shore-based colleagues. Travel will be required.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and support the technical team in the management of the fleet.
- Oversee vessel maintenance, technical performance, surveys and repairs.
- Manage technical budgets and maintain high standards of safety and compliance.
- Work with vessels and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
About you
- A Marine Engineering degree or an Engineer’s Certificate with seagoing experience.
- Proven experience managing a team.
- Strong leadership, management and budgeting skills.
- Fluent English and willingness to travel.
- Experience in dry bulk technical management would be advantageous.
