Junior Technical Superintendent – Dry Bulk – Monaco
We are working with an established ship management company seeking a Junior Technical Superintendent to join its Technical Department in Monaco.
This entry-level opportunity would suit a recent Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture graduate, or a former seafarer looking to move ashore and develop a career in ship management.
Reporting to the Senior Technical Superintendent, you will support the technical management of assigned vessels and gain practical experience through vessel and shipyard visits. Worldwide travel will be required.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with daily vessel technical management, preventive maintenance and machinery troubleshooting.
- Review and process requisitions for spare parts, stores and repair services.
- Liaise with vessel crews, suppliers, contractors and classification societies.
- Support vessel inspections, audits, statutory certifications, repairs and drydockings.
- Maintain accurate technical records and monitor compliance with company procedures, statutory regulations and class requirements.
About you
- A degree or diploma in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture or an equivalent maritime qualification, or a seagoing background in engineering or deck roles.
- Proficient written and spoken English.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel worldwide to vessels and shipyards.
- Seagoing experience would be advantageous.
