Application Support Specialist – Oracle / PL/SQL
Location: UK, Greece, Cyprus or Norway (subject to agreement)

Spinnaker is conducting an exclusive search on behalf of a global maritime software and technology business seeking an experienced Application Support Specialist with strong Oracle / PL/SQL expertise.

This is a hands-on technical support position, supporting business-critical software across customer environments. You’ll investigate and resolve complex application and database issues, support installations and upgrades, and work closely with customers and Development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve Oracle database and application issues.
• Work with SQL and PL/SQL, including procedures, functions, packages and triggers.
• Support application installations, upgrades, deployments and database migrations.
• Handle data manipulation, database changes and customer-specific extracts.
• Investigate performance issues across databases, applications and supporting infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Development teams and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong hands-on Oracle SQL and PL/SQL experience.
• Background in application support, database support, Oracle DBA or production support.
• Experience troubleshooting live applications and resolving technical incidents.
• Understanding of database administration, installations, upgrades and migrations.
• Good general IT knowledge and strong problem-solving skills.
• Confidence communicating with customers and taking ownership of technical issues.

Candidates from PL/SQL development backgrounds are also encouraged to apply, particularly those interested in moving into a more support-focused position.

Previous maritime experience is advantageous but not essential. We’re looking for someone technically capable, proactive and comfortable solving problems independently.
