Senior Legal Counsel – London – United Kingdom

We have been instructed by a global shipowner who is looking to appoint a Senior Legal Counsel in London. This is an interesting opportunity if you are looking for an in-house role that has international exposure and direct involvement in complex commercial and operational matters.
 
The work is varied and covers shipping, offshore, chartering, charterparties, vessel transactions, sanctions and trade regulations, plus handling disputes that arise from the fleet of owned vessels.
In the case of emergencies, the team works collaboratively to respond to any casualties or collisions.
 
A key part of the role is offering sanctions advice to internal stakeholders, so experience in this area would be advantageous.
 
They’re looking for a lawyer who has strong shipping law experience with a minimum of 10 PQE (ideally more) gained within a shipping law firm or shipowner.
