Some marine sales roles are about transactions. This one is about influencing programmes years before a vessel enters service.
Our client is a specialist engineering manufacturer supplying propulsion and bearing solutions to naval, coast guard and commercial fleets worldwide.
Their Navy & Coast Guard division represents a significant part of the business and is now looking for a commercially minded maritime professional to lead global growth.
Success in this position comes from understanding how navies buy, how shipyards build, and how OEMs influence specification decisions.
You will be based remote from the Head Office, with a global remit, with extensive travel expected.
While a remote position, preference will be for an individual based in the United Kingdom or the European Union.
Key focus areas:
This is a long-cycle sales environment where credibility matters. The strongest backgrounds are likely to come from naval service, naval architecture, marine engineering, defence maritime programmes, propulsion systems, shaftline equipment, bearings or seals.
The position offers the opportunity to shape a global market strategy, work with major defence maritime stakeholders, and build a team as the business grows.
