Business Development Manager – Pump & Hydro – Remote (APAC)

Industrial pump markets across Asia Pacific offer significant untapped potential.
A global engineering manufacturer is looking to appoint a commercially minded Business Development Manager to lead growth across its Pump & Industrial division throughout APAC.
 
This is a strategic position focused on developing market understanding, growing specifications with OEMs, supporting distributor networks, and identifying new opportunities across sectors such as thermal power generation, water cooling systems, industrial processing, and broader rotating equipment markets.
 
Key responsibilities:

• Develop and execute growth plans across APAC’s Pump & Industrial sector
• Build relationships with OEMs, maintenance providers, end users, and distributors
• Support regional sales teams with market intelligence, strategy, and opportunity development

The territory stretches from India to New Zealand, with particular emphasis on Southeast Asia. Success will be measured through sustainable market growth, stronger distributor performance, and the development of long-term commercial opportunities.
 
The position suits someone who combines technical credibility with commercial instinct. Experience around pumps, rotating equipment, bearings, power generation, maintenance services, or related industrial markets will be highly relevant.
 
There is considerable opportunity to shape strategy, influence market direction, and become the regional subject matter expert within an established international business.
 
Essential experience:

• Technical sales experience within pumps, rotating equipment, bearings, power generation, or industrial equipment
• Experience working with OEMs, specification sales, distributors, or industrial end users
• Knowledge of APAC industrial markets, particularly India and Southeast Asia
