Spinnaker work in collaboration with the personality profiling tool Facet5 to deliver a leadership development programme designed exclusively for maritime.
The core focus of the programme is to build and improve leadership and management capabilities and identify and grow talent for future leadership positions.
The programme focuses on participants gaining self-awareness through the personality profiling tool Facet5.
Participants complete an online questionnaire and receive a confidential one-to-one feedback session via telephone or video from an accredited Facet5 practitioner. The findings of the questionnaire are also available in report format as a takeaway document.
The online workshops provide a range of different leadership approaches, as it is well known that one size does not fit all.
Participants are able to consider the best method for them, relative to the unique business situations they may face.
The training sessions are delivered as three individual sessions over a 6-8 week period.
During the group coaching session, participants conduct peer reviews and define their own commitments to sustain and take forward.
The one-to-one coaching session with the course facilitator allows the participants to discuss their own agenda, personal commitments and goals.
A key qualities report builds on the Facet5 element of the programme by recognising and harnessing the important building blocks of an individual’s personality and the key strengths that can be relied upon. Recognising and harnessing these strengths enables individuals to realise their full potential. Each participant will receive a key qualities report to take away and refer back to along their career journey.
This programme is designed for managers who have had no formal managerial training, require a refresher, or those individuals identified as having management potential.
Previous attendees on the programme include Chartering Managers, Chief Commercial Officers, Chief Technical Officers, Claims and Underwriting Managers, General Managers, Logistics Managers, Port Captains, Project Directors and Superintendents.
These programmes are delivered online in groups but can also be designed and delivered as bespoke programmes for organisations that would like multiple employees to attend.
More than 20 million shipping containers are moving around the world at any given time.
The workshops were conducted in a professional manner, encouraging individual participation and building up shared group knowledge. The content was thought provoking and informative. The course helps to discover new possibilities if one approaches it with an open and receptive frame of mind.
