How to survive the slump..!?

Many people in shipping jobs have not previously experienced a market like today’s.  The market slump of the 80s was driven from within the industry, a characteristic which distinguishes it from the current downturn whose roots are in the collapse of world trade.

How can shipping look for solutions to lessen the consequences of the fall in trade?

Cambridge Academy of Transport in association with Quantum Shipping Services has structured a series of 1-day seminars in London over the coming months which will provide pointers to survival this market.

The first two in the series are:  “Dry Bulk & Container Sectors” on 28th April and “Problem Shipping Loans” on 29th April.

THE London Shipping Law Centre´s next event is on Unsafe Port and Berth Obligations, chaired by The Hon Mr Justice Teare.

Wednesday 29th April 2009, 5.30pm for 6.00pm.
Venue: Hill Dickinson, Irongate House, 3 Duke’s Place, London, EC3
