According to Spinnaker research, only one-fifth of maritime industry employees believe that their employers develop their people well or promote those with the best management aptitude.
We all know that effective leadership creates a positive impact on team members in both performance, productivity, behaviour and morale.
With this in mind, Spinnaker have designed a ‘leadership development programme’ for those working in the maritime industry.
The Spinnaker leadership training differs from other generic training programmes in that it is not only maritime specific, but also incorporates the personality profiling tool Facet5.
The leadership development programme is delivered in 3 distinct stages:
- Facet5 personality profile questionnaire and 1-hour personal feedback session;
- 4 online workshop sessions;
- 2 one-to-one coaching sessions.
The one-to-one coaching sessions are a key part of the programme as they not only help embed change at an individual level, but provide a confidential forum for the discussion of any work based challenges.
The programmes are now delivered virtually, which allows attendance from all 4 corners of the globe.
