FAIR play to the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers! Not only were they farsighted enough to appoint Spinnaker to recruit their new Chief Executive a year ago, they also chose the right man for the job.

Julie Lithgow (not a man) has transformed the Institute’s fortunes; as it prepares to honour this year’s prize winners, the ICS celebrates a year of record student numbers.

A massive 1,956 students sat 4,428 exams in 79 examination centres around the world. Crikey, that sounds like a logistical challenge!

Well done ICS for continuing to train, for keeping up standards and for giving us a professional qualification worth having.
