Posidonia; it’s the event on everyone’s minds. Everyone here at Spinnaker Global is having conversations with HR managers wishing they could go, and commercial team members who are preparing to make the most of the trip. There are so many opportunities to further business, meet new people and network at Posidonia.
Posidonia has a legacy as one of THE events in the shipping diary. Anyone who is anyone will be there. Since its inception in 1969, the event has taken place every two years and evolved to span almost two weeks, various venues and a multitude of events. Starting out as an exhibition providing an opportunity for international companies to present their services, learn from one another and make new connections over a week, with a couple of days prior to this being singled out by local companies to hold company-wide meetings and small parties; it now includes sporting events, competitions, cocktail receptions and oh so many parties (as well as the exhibition). There are so many facets to it now that all these other events overshadowed the exhibition to some extent, and it was very difficult for Matthew King and I to pick which dates would be best to attend! I was keen to get involved in some of the sporting events but due to other commitments we are now attending between the 7th and 10th June. If you are going to be there over those days we hope to bump into you!
