LAST month we told you that 37% of companies froze salaries in 2009 and 13% are planning to freeze salaries in 2010 and that back in November, the average pay rise in 2010 was forecast at just under 2.9% (or 3.25% ignoring those who are freezing salaries).
We asked you to tell us what your company is likely to do this year and were surprised to receive responses only from companies who are planning to freeze salaries. This didn’t sound quite right, especially as it doesn’t fit with what a number of our regular clients and the members of The Maritime HR Forum are telling us. We wonder if the question simply struck a chord with companies who have chosen to freeze salaries…?
Let’s try again. Let us know what your salary review budget is for 2010. Is it a freeze? Is it 2%? Is it 4%? Whatever it is, drop us a line and we’ll compile the responses anonymously and let you know what the market’s doing. Tell us who you are, what kind of company you are and where you are.
