We are delighted to announce that 3 x Olympic Silver Medallist and 3 x world champion David Florence will be attending the OSCAR Dragon Boat event on Friday 16 September.
It is fantastic to have the support of an outstanding canoe slalom athlete and we very much look forward to meeting David on Friday. David will be joining the Lloyd’s Register team – lucky lot!

He’ll also be bringing his medals from the past three Olympics – including the silver medal he won in the C2 slalom category in Rio last month.”
David, a mathematical physics graduate, is a British Slalom canoeist and is one of the world’s top men’s C1 and C2 canoeists and took part in his first canoe slalom race in 1997 at the age of 14. David was the 2013 and 2015 world champion in individual canoe slalom, and 2013 pairs canoe slalom. David won his third successive Olympic silver medal in C2 at Rio 2016, coming second in C1 at Beijing 2008, and then in C2 at London 2012.
