A TIMELY accolade for hostage negotiator Sue Williams, who was named Personality of the Year by the Women's International Shipping & Trading Association. She has been involved in many hair-raising hostage negotiations, including some involving merchant ships off the coast of Africa. The former head of the Hostage Crisis Unit at New Scotland Yard, Sue now runs her own business advising on hostage negotiations, counter-terrorism and the like.
